About Us

The owner, Steve Woodruff,  a northern Illinois native, graduate of the University of Illinois C/U, B.A , M.B.A.  After university I traded financial derivatives (read floor trader-one of those guys in colored jackets that liked to yell and wave their arms in the air). I was on trading floors in Chicago, Amsterdam, and finally London where I spent 11 years. During that time, I began and built my collection of art, mostly poster art.

I retired 12 years ago to the mountains of Colorado, and after about 6 months, began Christopher & Co. My first client and I communicate regularly. I cherish that and many other relationships that have been built up over these years.

I’m a proud parent of three wonderful children: Andrew, a senior at CU Boulder, Christopher, sophomore at USC, and Stephanie, a junior in high school now studying in Thailand. Kristine, is the mother of these great kids, and if you're lucky she may answer the phone or greet you when you visit one of our galleries.

The galleries are home to my hobby, my passion, and some would say my obsession. Many times I have heard people comment that the galleries are like museums, which in fact they are - museums of advertising. Many people also regret getting me started talking about posters.

My collection, my gallery, reflects my thoughts in art. “I collect that which makes me smile.”
